Apple Pie Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 2 Red Delicious apples, cored
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 frozen banana, peeled and sliced
- ¼ cup pecans *optional
- 8 ounces of almond milk, soy milk, or cashew milk
Directions:
Place milk in the blender. Add the fruit and remaining ingredients. Add ice as desired and you have a delicious, nutritious smoothie.
Pumpkin Pie Green Smoothie (Raw and Vegan)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw pumpkin, cubed (can be soaked overnight to reduce starchiness) or ½ cup canned pumpkin
- ¼ cup unsweetened almond, soy, or cashew milk
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 banana, peeled
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ carrot
- 2 cups fresh baby spinach, washed
Directions:
Mix ingredients in a strong blender, and blend on high. Additional milk may be used if the smoothie is too thick.
