Is what you are drinking causing you to be overweight? Start reading the food labels to learn how many calories you drink each day. If one drink is 150 calories and you have two servings a day, this equals 300 calories a day, and 109,500 calories a year. It only takes 3,500 calories consumed to gain 1 lb. of weight. If you are not counting the calories your drinks toward your daily caloric needs, you could be gaining 31 lbs. a year just from the liquids you consume.
In an average hour of exercise, you may burn approximately 350 calories. If you are drinking a flavored drink while doing the exercise, you may want to read the label to see if you are offsetting the calories burned with the calories consumed while exercising. Keep in mind, drinking water is healthy for your body and has zero calories!
