NUTRITIOUS, DELICIOUS PUMPKIN OATMEAL
Here is a quick and easy recipe for making pumpkin oatmeal.
Ingredients
- ½ cup old-fashioned oatmeal
- ½ cup 2% milk
- 1 banana -mashed
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ cup pureed pumpkin (canned)
- ¼ teaspoon cloves, ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
Instructions
Instructions: Place oats, milk, banana and cinnamon in a microwave safe bowl, and mix together. Next, cook in microwave on high for 2 minutes – stirring once halfway through. Remove from the microwave and stir in the pumpkin and heat for 20 more seconds. Remove from the microwave and stir in the cloves, nutmeg, and blueberries. Serve this warm and delicious!
Pumpkin is an excellent source of vitamin A and copper, and with smaller amounts of iron and riboflavin.
