Help motivate your kids to want healthy snacks by playing food games when grocery shopping. Create an alphabet calendar at home and each time you go to the grocery store, search for fruits, vegetables, and whole grain snacks that begin with a particular alphabet letter. Keep the game going until each letter of the alphabet is found, and checked off the calendar!
This game can be so much fun as kids pick out healthy foods and snacks to match the letters.

A – Apples, Applesauce, Asparagus, Avocados
B – Bananas, Blueberries
C – Cantaloupe, Cherries, Cottage Cheese
D – Dates, Dewberries (blackberries)
E – Eggs, Eggplants
F – Fish, Fruit Cups
G – Grapefruit, Graham Crackers
