The calories in one 4 oz. serving of real fruit juice is equivalent to the calories of one serving of fresh fruit. Keep in mind when purchasing a 16-oz. container of fruit juice, this is equivalent to eating 4 fruit servings and approximately 60 grams of carbohydrates, which may have a dramatic effect on blood sugar levels. If you are counting carbohydrates in your diet, look for Light juices, containing only 7 grams of carbohydrates (or less) for one 4 oz. serving of juice.
